How these were chosen

The power your laptop actually needs: It is printed on its original block. Below it the laptop still charges, but slowly, and sometimes not while in use.
The number of ports, honestly: Total power is shared. A 65 W with four ports does not give 65 W to each — it distributes.
Folding pins: A detail that decides whether the charger travels or stays on the desk. Fixed pins tear bag linings.

One block instead of three

The power strip under the desk accumulates blocks because every device arrived with its own. None of them is essential: one multiport charger replaces them all, as long as you target the right power.

What "65 W shared" means

When you plug in a second device, the charger redistributes. The laptop can drop from 65 W to 45 W while the phone takes the rest. That is normal behaviour, and it is more than enough for office use.

The only case where it bites: charging a demanding laptop during a heavy compile. There you need to aim higher, or plug the laptop in alone.

Cables matter as much as the block

An unmarked USB-C cable may be limited to 60 W, or carry only slow data. If charging disappoints, try another cable before blaming the charger.

Keeping one short cable on the desk and one long one in the bag removes half the tangles.
